What this site collects today

The Melbourne FL Dev invite form asks for first name, last name, email address, an optional LinkedIn URL, and agreement to the community rules. The browser validates those fields and posts them to the site's Netlify Forms endpoint. On a Netlify deployment, the submission may be stored and made available to authorized site administrators for review.

Cookies and consent

This site stores a consent record for up to 400 days in a first-party cookie named user_consent so it can remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics storage. You can reset that choice from this page. Consent updates are also pushed into the browser dataLayer for tag-management behavior.

Analytics and infrastructure

The frontend uses a Google Tag Manager-first consent flow. If a GTM container ID is configured, analytics events remain blocked until consent is granted. The application records a generic lead event after a successful form response, but its analytics payload does not include the submitted name, email address, or LinkedIn URL.

Community and moderation

A successful form response means the request was accepted by the configured form endpoint; it does not mean a Slack invitation was sent or membership was approved. Community organizers may review requests, contact applicants, restrict access, or retain relevant moderation records to operate a respectful local community.
