This page describes how the current community landing page handles consent, invite-form fields, and browser storage.

The current Melbourne FL Dev experience asks for first name, last name, email address, optional LinkedIn URL, and an agreement to the community rules. At the moment, the invite request flow validates this information in the browser and simulates submission rather than sending it to a live production backend.
This site stores a consent record in a first-party cookie named user_consent so it can remember whether you accepted or rejected non-essential tracking. The consent object is also pushed into the browser dataLayer for future tag-management behavior.
The current frontend uses a GTM-first consent flow. If a GTM container ID is configured, tags stay blocked until analytics consent is granted. The site still does not send invite data to a live production invite API as of this version.
The site is intended to support a respectful local tech community. If you submit abusive, deceptive, or unlawful material through future live forms or community systems, the team may restrict access or retain relevant moderation records where necessary.
